What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is a term used for a medical profession dealing with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all foot conditions. The term podiatry was first established in 1993 and is the international recognized name for a foot specialist. A podiatrist can assess, treat and manage all foot conditions ranging from corns, ingrown toe nails and athletes foot to more complex foot issues relating to the structural defects of the foot and lower limb.
